Dental Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for dental procedures by taking medical histories and explaining treatments.
- Sterilize instruments and set up treatment rooms between appointments to maintain infection control standards.
- Assist dentists during procedures such as fillings, crowns, extractions, and root canals by passing instruments or operating suction devices.
- Take dental impressions or x-rays as directed by the dentist or hygienist.
- Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions and post-procedure care guidance.
- Perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing billing or insurance documentation as needed.
Work Environment:
- The role is based in dental offices where assistants work closely with dentists, hygienists, and administrative staff to provide comprehensive patient care.
